26) Mighty Bomb Jack was made by Tecom and was released for the Famicom in 1986. The game was a 2D based side scrolling and platforming game. The hero named Jack was tasked to rescue the Pamera family sealed away inside a pyramid. Jack had to travel 16 levels of the pyramid and beat the last boss Belzebut in order to save the family. The game play is all about clearing the level as fast as possible and as safe as possible. Jack can acquire power ups and items along the way and several power ups change his color. When he changes colors he can take more hits or open chests with the same color as Jack is. There is a system wherein when Jack gets more than 9 coins, he is then sent to the torture room. It’s best to avoid it unless you simply want a high score which can be alright.

27) Mach Rider was one of the original launch titles by Nintendo back during the 1985 release of the Famicom and the same for the NES. The game was a fighting driving game and you controlled a motorcycle rather than a car. The game’s story took place in the year 2112 where the Earth is taken over by aliens called Quadrunners. Mach Rider has to eradicate the evil and liberate the Earth. There are 4 different modes for playing. The first one is the Fighting Course where you play the story mode so to speak. You had to control Mach Rider like a driving game vehicle and at the same time avoid the obstacles and enemies on the road. You could also use the guns at your disposal to shoot down the enemies as long as you didn’t run out of ammo. You could only be hit three times or rather you only have three lives so better be careful. Before each level begins you could also read the texts which tell the story and mission objectives but you basically just had to complete each course within the time limit and not losing all your lives.

The second one is the Endurance Course which also acts like the Fighting Course. The only difference is that plot progression isn’t included. You simply need to reach a specific spot throughout the course within the time limit and without losing all your lives. Once you have reached the spot, you will have to continue and see how far you’ll go. The only point of this mode is to find out how far you’ll go. The third one is the Solo Course which is like the Endurance Course but minus the enemies. The last one is the Design Course which lets you design your own course with obstacles and enemies.
